The mission of Kidspace Children’s Museum is to enrich the lives of children.

Kidspace enriches the lives of children by inspiring wonder and igniting creativity to build the foundation for a life of learning. Kidspace is committed to providing exhibits and programs in the arts, sciences and humanities that promote imagination, exploration and discovery. As a children’s museum, Kidspace provides interactive learning environments through hands-on exhibits and complementary educational programs designed to stimulate young minds.

The Ayrshire Foundation has been a friend to Kidspace for nearly 10 years. Kidspace Children’s Museum recently opened a new 3.4-acre, state-of-the-art museum complex. Located adjacent to the Rose Bowl and in the midst of the cherished Arroyo Seco, the new Kidspace features world-class exhibitry and greatly enhanced facilities to better serve the children and families of Southern California.

The Foundation was one of the earliest supporters of the new Kidspace, and funded one of its most amazing exhibits, the Ayrshire Foundation Wisteria Climber. The Wisteria Climber is a 40-foot-tall climbing structure made of larger than life-sized leaves that is completely enclosed by childproof netting. The Wisteria Climber offers fearless explorers an opportunity to scale a fantastic glass enclosed imaginary vine while catching a dramatic view of the entire museum, its gardens, and the nearby Arroyo Seco.
